Around 15 million (one-and-a-half crore) people have registered for over 89,000 RRB jobs advertised by the railways last month, officials said on Wednesday.
The officials said that primary registration of around one-and-a-half crore (15 million) candidates have been received by the Railway Recruitment Board online for recruitment to various Group C and Group D posts.
The last date for submission of applications is March 31 and applications have been invited for over 89,000 posts — 26,502 vacancies for Group C and 62,907 for Group D. Continue reading

NEW DELHI: The Centre has asked the second national judicial pay commission, which was notified in November, to find out the number of lower court judges required to clear the backlog of cases.
The higher judiciary and the executive have been at variance over the exact strength of the subordinate judiciary. Currently, India has less than 22,000 sanctioned posts for judicial officers in the lower judiciary, of which nearly 5,000 are vacant.
