Apple blocks Iran from App Store

Apple has blocked incoming traffic and access to the App Store in Iran.pc:ht

In what appears to be a total cut off for the country, Apple has blocked access to its App Store for users in Iran, the media reported.

The Cupertino-headquartered giant does not sell its products or operate its App Store in Iran and now it has blocked all the traffic coming from the country and also from accessing its App Store in any capacity.

“Users were not able to connect to the Apple App Store to install or update applications. When visiting the App Store, they were instead greeted with the message ‘the App Store is unavailable in the country or region you’re in’,” tech website Bleeping Computer reported on Friday.

5,000 hectares, four runways: Jewar airport touted to be biggest in India

The government expects the Jewar airport to be operational in the next five to six years and cater to 30-50 million passengers per year over the next 10-15 years.

Spread over 5,000 hectares with four runways, the proposed International airport at Jewar will be ‘India’s biggest’, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), the nodal agency for the project, said.

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport is spread over an area of 2,066 hectares. The IGI airport is projected to reach its full capacity by 2023-24. The Delhi airport currently handles 60 million passengers per annum, which is likely to be doubled by 2023.

India’s income tax department has sent tax notices to tens of thousands of people dealing in cryptocurrency after a nationwide survey showed more than $3.5 billion worth of transactions have been conducted over a 17-month period, a tax official said.

Apple raises iPhone prices in India after hike in custom duty

Prices of top iPhone models have gone up by an average of 3.5%, except for iPhone SE which Apple Inc. assembles in India, after the Centre raised import duty on mobile phones by five percentage points on Friday.
