FIFA lifted Kuwait’s ban from international football.

FIFA says it has lifted Kuwait’s ban from international football. FIFA President Gianni Infantino is in Kuwait to confirm the government is no longer interfering in how the federation is being run. According to FIFA, “Kuwait Parliament has adopted a new sports law” which complies with its statutes. The ban was imposed in October 2015, leaving Kuwait unable to play its World Cup qualifiers.

BCCI should take positive stand on bowler Sreesanth issue

In 2000, India skipper, Mohammad Azharuddin, who was banned for life for match-fixing, urged the BCCI on Wednesday to take a positive stand in resolving the issue of pace bowler S Sreesanth.
